The father is Nepenthes villosa, a species found only on Mount Kinabalu and neighboring Mount Tambuyukon at higher elevation than any other Bornean Nepenthes. This species is known for its dense covering of brown hair and one of the most fiercely toothed peristomes in the entire genus.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the wild, villosa naturally crosses with both rajah and edwardsiana, so this seed brings all three of those legendary species together in one cross. Expect significant variation, with real potential for outstanding peristome development and size.
