Heliamphora Godzilla (Shipped Bare-Root)

Heliamphora "Godzilla" is Andreas Wistuba's monumental hybrid (H. tatei × nutans giant) and the largest Heliamphora in the world, with specimens reaching nearly three feet tall. Its distinctively bulbous, prehistoric-scaled pitchers represent the ultimate expression of Heliamphora gigantism for the serious collector willing to provide the space and highland conditions these Venezuelan highland specialists demand.

Care Requirements

Light — Bright indirect light or moderate direct sun. Avoid intense midday sun — Heliamphora prefer cooler, highland conditions.

Water — Pure water only, under 50ppm dissolved solids. Use distilled, reverse osmosis, or collected rainwater. Most tap water will not work. Keep the pitchers partially filled with water and the soil consistently moist.

Temperature — Cool to intermediate. Day temps of 65–80°F (18–27°C) with cooler nights of 45–60°F (7–16°C). Many species require cool nights year-round.

Soil — Pure long-fiber sphagnum moss or a mix of peat and perlite. Garden soil will not work.

Humidity — High humidity preferred, 60–90%. A terrarium or greenhouse setup is ideal for most species.
