I’ve grown Nepenthes for over 30 years and have been creating original Nepenthes hybrids for more than 20 of them. In 2006 I produced Nepenthes ‘Leviathan’, a cross between Nepenthes rajah and Nepenthes peltata bred here in Colorado. In 2019 a specimen of Leviathan sold for $4,500, setting a Guinness World Record for the most expensive carnivorous plant ever sold. That record is a reflection of what’s possible when you combine serious genetics with decades of cultivation knowledge.
