These Taerwe Tropicals imports are still fairly new, brought in during July 2026, so yours may arrive without an active pitcher just yet. They have had enough time in my care to settle in well, and I am confident they will grow great once they have found their new home.
This cross pairs two distinct color forms of Nepenthes truncata, one selected for its vivid red and lime green striped peristome, the other for its deep red coloration. Because this pairing crosses two forms of the same species rather than combining different species, it is offered here as a horticultural species selection rather than a hybrid.
Nepenthes truncata is native to the Philippines and known for its broad, thick pitchers and dramatic size. Expect offspring carrying the species’ signature vigor along with rich striping and coloration inherited from both parent forms.
Sourced directly from Taerwe Tropicals of Belgium through our exclusive US partnership.
