These Taerwe Tropicals imports are still fairly new, brought in during July 2026, so yours may arrive without an active pitcher just yet. They have had enough time in my care to settle in well, and I am confident they will grow great once they have found their new home.
This cross pairs a compact, squat selection of Nepenthes truncata originating from Exotica Plants of Australia with a hybrid of Nepenthes rajah and Nepenthes veitchii.
Nepenthes truncata squat EP contributes a broad, thick pitcher structure in a more compact form than is typical for the species, along with lowland vigor. Nepenthes rajah, one of the largest pitcher plants in the world, brings substantial size potential and a heavily ribbed, muscular peristome. Nepenthes veitchii adds a wide, flared peristome and strong climbing habit.
With truncata contributing lowland influence and rajah and veitchii favoring highland conditions, expect an adaptable intermediate grower.
