These Taerwe Tropicals imports are still fairly new, brought in during July 2026, so yours may arrive without an active pitcher just yet. They have had enough time in my care to settle in well, and I am confident they will grow great once they have found their new home.
This cross pairs two individuals of Nepenthes appendiculata, one of the rarest species in cultivation. Native to Borneo, it is known for its narrow, elongated pitchers and distinctive fringed peristome. Because this pairing crosses two plants of the same species rather than combining different species, it is offered here as a horticultural species selection rather than a true hybrid.
Expect pitchers with the slender, tubular form and delicate fringing that define appendiculata.
Sourced directly from Taerwe Tropicals of Belgium through our exclusive US partnership.
