2026 Greenhouse Tour: Five Videos Through Every Greenhouse
Every year I walk through every one of my greenhouses with a camera, bench by bench, so you can see exactly what's growing here in Colorado Springs. This year's tour came out to five videos and almost two hours of plants, from the little lean to I built as a kid to the big 1,000 square foot house that holds the heart of my collection.
The Short Version: My 2026 greenhouse tour covers three greenhouses in five videos: the lean to I built when I was about 14, the Venus flytrap greenhouse we rebuilt this June with over 450 varieties, and my 1,000 square foot main greenhouse full of Sarracenia, flytraps, Heliamphora, Nepenthes and Drosera. The full playlist is right below, and the final part premieres October 31.

The Lean To I Built at 14
This is where it all started. I built this lean to greenhouse when I was around 14 years old, and it's still working hard today. These days it's mostly Venus flytraps and Sarracenia. It's the shortest video of the bunch, about 7 minutes, and a good warm up for the rest of the tour.
The Venus Flytrap Greenhouse
I first built this greenhouse 22 years ago. This June we tore it down and rebuilt it from the ground up, and it now holds over 450 different varieties of Venus flytraps. That's way too many for one video, so it's split in two: Part 2 runs about 21 minutes and Part 3 picks up for another 10.
If you want to start your own collection, my favorite flytraps and the giant Venus flytraps are a good place to begin, or browse the full Venus flytrap collection.
Flytraps slow down this time of year as they head into winter. That's normal. Here's what dormancy looks like and how I handle it.
The Big Greenhouse
This is the main event. At about 1,000 square feet, this greenhouse holds the heart of my collection: Sarracenia, Venus flytraps, Heliamphora, Nepenthes, Drosera and more. It takes two videos, about 35 minutes each, to get through it all, so grab a coffee. Part 5 premieres October 31.
A Few Plants In Stock Now
Everything I sell is grown right here in these greenhouses and shipped bare root. Here are a few that are ready to go.
See You Next Year
These tours are one of my favorite things to make every year. It's fun to look back and see how much the collection changes from one year to the next. If you enjoy them, subscribing on YouTube is the best way to catch the next one. And if you want to see how other growers do it, check out my visits to California Carnivores and Alberto Bossi's greenhouse in Italy.
