Heliamphora huberi Amnri AW #1 originates from the cloud-shrouded heights of Amurí Tepui in Venezuela's Chimantá Massif, where this exceptional clone was selected and distributed by the legendary Andreas Wistuba. This distinctive form produces greenish pitchers adorned with characteristic hairiness and a striking oval nectar spoon with an upturned terminal appendage, promising impressive development well beyond typical cultivation sizes.
Care Requirements
Light — Bright indirect light or moderate direct sun. Avoid intense midday sun — Heliamphora prefer cooler, highland conditions.
Water — Pure water only, under 50ppm dissolved solids. Use distilled, reverse osmosis, or collected rainwater. Most tap water will not work. Keep the pitchers partially filled with water and the soil consistently moist.
Temperature — Cool to intermediate. Day temps of 65–80°F (18–27°C) with cooler nights of 45–60°F (7–16°C). Many species require cool nights year-round.
Soil — Pure long-fiber sphagnum moss or a mix of peat and perlite. Garden soil will not work.
Humidity — High humidity preferred, 60–90%. A terrarium or greenhouse setup is ideal for most species.
