Heliamphora minor var. pilosa AW Clone 3 hails from Auyán Tepui's cloud-shrouded summit, where it thrives between 1900–2500m elevation. This exceptional Andreas Wistuba clone displays densely hirsute pitchers that mature from green to a striking blood-red, nearly black coloration, with distinctive long white hairs adorning both interior and exterior surfaces—making it one of the most visually arresting pilosa selections available to serious collectors.
Care Requirements
Light — Bright indirect light or moderate direct sun. Avoid intense midday sun — Heliamphora prefer cooler, highland conditions.
Water — Pure water only, under 50ppm dissolved solids. Use distilled, reverse osmosis, or collected rainwater. Most tap water will not work. Keep the pitchers partially filled with water and the soil consistently moist.
Temperature — Cool to intermediate. Day temps of 65–80°F (18–27°C) with cooler nights of 45–60°F (7–16°C). Many species require cool nights year-round.
Soil — Pure long-fiber sphagnum moss or a mix of peat and perlite. Garden soil will not work.
Humidity — High humidity preferred, 60–90%. A terrarium or greenhouse setup is ideal for most species.
