Heliamphora minor var. pilosa MS giant (Shipped Bare-Root)

Heliamphora minor var. pilosa MS giant represents a striking giant form of this hairy-pitchered endemic from Auyan Tepui's cloud-swept summits (1900–2500m), distinguished by conspicuous white hairs clothing both pitcher interior and exterior. The 10–15cm pitchers display deep red coloration with an elegant oval nectar spoon held at 45 degrees, making this a visually commanding addition to any serious collection.

Care Requirements

Light — Bright indirect light or moderate direct sun. Avoid intense midday sun — Heliamphora prefer cooler, highland conditions.

Water — Pure water only, under 50ppm dissolved solids. Use distilled, reverse osmosis, or collected rainwater. Most tap water will not work. Keep the pitchers partially filled with water and the soil consistently moist.

Temperature — Cool to intermediate. Day temps of 65–80°F (18–27°C) with cooler nights of 45–60°F (7–16°C). Many species require cool nights year-round.

Soil — Pure long-fiber sphagnum moss or a mix of peat and perlite. Garden soil will not work.

Humidity — High humidity preferred, 60–90%. A terrarium or greenhouse setup is ideal for most species.
