This extraordinary hybrid combines the towering vigor of H. sarracenioides with the deep crimson pitchers and exceptional trap hairs of H. ionasi "Killer Giant," sourced from the remote Venezuelan tepuis between 1,800–2,600 meters. Expect massive, peach-to-blood-red pitchers with dramatically oversized nectar spoons and the genus's longest interior hairs—a statement piece for the serious collector.

Care Requirements

Light — Bright indirect light or moderate direct sun. Avoid intense midday sun — Heliamphora prefer cooler, highland conditions.

Water — Pure water only, under 50ppm dissolved solids. Use distilled, reverse osmosis, or collected rainwater. Most tap water will not work. Keep the pitchers partially filled with water and the soil consistently moist.

Temperature — Cool to intermediate. Day temps of 65–80°F (18–27°C) with cooler nights of 45–60°F (7–16°C). Many species require cool nights year-round.

Soil — Pure long-fiber sphagnum moss or a mix of peat and perlite. Garden soil will not work.

Humidity — High humidity preferred, 60–90%. A terrarium or greenhouse setup is ideal for most species.
