This commanding hybrid by Rob Co of The Pitcher Plant Project unites two extraordinary cultivars: the towering S. 'Saurus' (Phil Faulisi's legendary S. leucophylla "Purple Lips" × flava var. ornata cross reaching over a meter tall) with Brooks Garcia's elegant S. 'Legacy' (S. 'Leah Wilkerson' × S. 'Adrian Slack'), known for its narrow hood and dramatic throat splotch. Seedlings display white upper pitchers traced with red veining, a characteristic yellowish-green lid, and a notably wide mouth with a central throat stripe—a refined departure from either parent's boldness.

Our bare root Sarracenia (North American pitcher plants) are shipped according to their natural growing cycle. During the active growing season (spring through early fall), you'll receive a plant with live foliage, often including vibrant pitchers. In the winter months, Sarracenia naturally enter dormancy, and will be shipped without leaves or with brown, dying pitchers—this is completely normal and essential for the plant's long-term health.
