These Taerwe Tropicals imports are still fairly new, brought in during July 2026, so yours may arrive without an active pitcher just yet. They have had enough time in my care to settle in well, and I am confident they will grow great once they have found their new home.
This exciting new hybrid uses my most prolific Nepenthes lowii x truncata Wide Peristome with the amazing male N. edwardsiana from NepenthesDude, who has fathered some of my most amazing hybrids.
Nepenthes lowii contributes its unmistakable constricted, waisted pitcher shape found in mature upper pitchers. Nepenthes truncata Wide Peristome adds broad, thick pitcher structure and lowland vigor. Nepenthes edwardsiana, native to Mount Kinabalu and Mount Tambuyukon in Borneo, rounds out the cross with its ribbed peristome and striking coloration.
With lowii and edwardsiana both highland species and truncata contributing lowland influence, expect an intermediate grower that leans toward cooler, highland style conditions.
Bred by me (Jeremiah), sourced directly from Taerwe Tropicals of Belgium through our exclusive US partnership.
