This hybrid combines Bill Scholl's towering 'Green Monster' (itself a leucophylla × minor cross prized for its neon yellow-green coloration and ruffled, undulating hoods) with an antho-free S. purpurea, yielding variable offspring ranging from tall pitchers with highly frilled hoods to compact, squat forms. Expect vigorous, mostly green plants accented by prominent white areolae that glow chartreuse under intense sunlight—a compelling addition to any breeding program.

Our bare root Sarracenia (North American pitcher plants) are shipped according to their natural growing cycle. During the active growing season (spring through early fall), you'll receive a plant with live foliage, often including vibrant pitchers. In the winter months, Sarracenia naturally enter dormancy, and will be shipped without leaves or with brown, dying pitchers—this is completely normal and essential for the plant's long-term health.
