Pinguicula Razzberry Blonde- Mexican Butterwort (Shipped Bare-Root)

Razzberry Blonde is one of the standout Mexican butterworts, bred by Mark Rubnitz and registered in 2020. It is thought to be a cross of (Pinguicula gigantea x P. emarginata) x P. agnata.  

Under bright light the rosette takes on a soft blonde and cream tone with a deep pink blush along the leaf margins, the kind of coloring that draws people to Mexican pings in the first place. Flowers are light yellow with a striking raspberry red center , blooming readily once the plant settles into its new home.

This is an easy growing, beginner friendly butterwort that also happens to be an excellent natural gnat trap, making it as practical as it is beautiful.

Care basics

Light: Bright indirect to several hours of direct sun for best color

Water: Keep substrate lightly moist, never soggy

Soil: Well draining mineral mix, no fertilizer needed

Dormancy: May shrink into a tight succulent rosette in winter, this is normal
